Introduction

Michael Reiling is a principal and CEO with Fredrikson Healthcare Consulting, Ltd. He has many years of experience working with physicians. Prior to working as a consultant, Michael served as the internal reviewer and educator for a large multi-specialty group with over 100 physicians. Most recently, Michael directed the national coding/compliance unit for Towers Perrin.

His work with all types of specialties focuses on improvement in the areas of coding, reimbursement, documentation, and compliance issues. Michael has been successful in working with clients in challenging government audits. He has the unique ability to alternate from advocate for the group to an educator helping the clinic understand the importance of compliance. A typical engagement might be to help the clients to assess internal expertise and assist in the development and mentoring of in-house staff to carry out effective and efficient programs as they relate to coding and compliance.

Michael is a frequent national speaker and has authored a number of publications for professional journals.
